Psychology
Interpreting human behaviour begins with understanding mental processes.
We believe an understanding of psychological processes and their relationship to brain function can have a wide range of impact on societal wellbeing. That’s why we offer psychology courses at Swinburne.
Psychology courses are an opportunity to discover how to understand and explain human behaviour and relationships. Our courses support the path to becoming a professional psychologist as the program is APAC accredited for progression to clinical practice with a fourth year of study. You’ll also gain practical skills through a variety of research projects, in addition to knowledge. This expertise includes project management, research design and report writing.
By the time you graduate, you’ll have the confidence and skills to apply your wisdom to the workplace. Future careers can be found in clinical psychology, counselling, HR, mental health and more.

SWINBURNE DEGREES ARE APAC-ACCREDITED
At Swinburne, we offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate psychology degrees that are accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC).
Our APAC-accredited degrees support the path to becoming a fully registered psychologist, as determined by the Psychology Board of Australia.

The staff at Swinburne are friendly and approachable and the students feel like they’re part of a community. The Hawthorn campus is so close to the city and has everything you’ll need. I had an unforgettable experience playing Ultimate Frisbee at the University Games!
